Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30 Review

Hi Girls,

If you think my BB cream fever is over now then you probably are wrong coz I still have 5-6 more BB cream reviews coming up on BML ;) I’m going crazy over BB creams these days and most importantly BB cream is all what I need in my makeup besides a little concealer as I don’t have much flaws to hide. So today’s review is on Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream with SPF 30.

My Take on Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30:

Don’t even ask me where I’m getting all these BB creams from! Holika Holika is a Korean brand and I’m bugging my friends who stays abroad or visits there to get me BB creams from there which we don’t get here in India. That much craze I have developed for BB creams! I want to try more of Korean brand BB creams as I think Korean BB creams are the best as the concept of BB cream was introduced by them. I still have 3-4 Indian brand BB creams left to be reviewed which I’ll be soon reviewing, just testing them one by one.Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30 ReviewI got the one for dry skin which says moisturizing, by the way did you guys notice that I’m coming up with hyaluronic acid product’s reviews back to back. First I reviewed a cream with hyaluronic acid and then Lakme compact and now this BB cream which also features hyaluronic acid in it.Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30 ReviewHolika Holika Moisture Petit BB comes in a cute light purple colored tube with a screw cap on top. The nozzle of the tube is quite wide so you have to be careful not to press the tube hard coz it will squeeze an excess amount which you may end up using on your hands like I do most of the time. The BB cream is smooth and creamy in texture and spreads nicely with just light motion strokes with hands. I usually apply this BB cream with hands and it blends amazingly while moisturizing my skin. It gives a semi-dewy finish to skin which I’m sure girls with oily skin will also love as it’s not extremely dewy or moisturizing and will set as matte by topping with compact. As its main feature is of moisture, I can use it even without moisturizing my dry skin and it blends like a dream, doesn’t clump or leaves patches on skin. It feels very light and does not feel cakey at all.

Mostly all Korean people have extremely light skin and they fall below NC30 in MAC so generally all Korean products are also made for their skin tone. This BB cream is a little light for my skin, it’s described as light creamy beige by Holika Holika, it will suit NC25-30 nicely and I guess it will not suit people with NC35 and above and the main con is that it comes in only one shade so no option for darker or medium skin tones, girls with very light skin can only try it. Though it’s a little light for me, but it adjusts after 15-20 minutes giving a flawless look to my skin and even coverage. The coverage it gives is medium and it hides dark circles really well, it can be even used for highlighting as it’s a lighter shade so I dab it over my cheek bones, on top of my nose and between my brows to highlight my face and it seems to do it amazingly. I only need a dollop of this BB cream to cover my whole face and it gives good coverage and finish, while making my face brighter and flawless. Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30 ReviewHolika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30 SwatchesPros of Holika Holika Moisture Petit BB Cream SPF 30:

BML Rating: 4.5/5

I’m absolutely loving this BB cream, it gives medium to buidable coverage and hides my minor flaws and dark circles really well, gives a flawless semi-dewy finish and blends amazingly with only a small amount needed to cover full face. If you can get this BB cream, I would sure recommend you to get this one for you, you can choose one for your skin concern and skin tone but only get it if you are NC30 and below as it will not suit people with NC35 and above.

Heyy arzoo, i read your reviews daily and just love them since i also suffer from dry skin. I have a question i don’t know but from few days m noticing small zits on my forehead near brows and on cheeks. Plz suggest some products and remedies.

    • Arzoo says:

Thanks Fatima :) you should try Saslic face wash available in chemist shops and clean and clear gel and moisturizer to get your pimples under control or what you can do is grind nutmeg (jaiphal) with milk and apply on your spots at night, this will cure them without leaving marks behind.
