My Experience with Lotus Herbals Almond Nourish Daily Nourishing Body Lotion SPF 20:
Lotus Herbals Almond Nourish Body Lotion comes in a yellow colored bottle with a pump dispenser. The packaging of products with pump dispenser is very convenient as you don’t have to press the bottle to take out the product, you just have to slightly press the pump and the needed amount comes out. Same goes with this bottle too, it’s very convenient and sturdy!
The smell of this lotion is kind of like bitter almonds which I’m not a fan of but it’s not irritating or too strong so people with sensitive noses won’t have much problem with the smell but I personally don’t like its smell much.
The consistency of this lotion is thick, feels somewhat like whitening lotion which feels thick and takes time in absorbing. It’s hard to blend at first, you have to literally keep on rubbing it after which it absorbs into the skin and leaves a shiny/greasy film behind which people with oily skin will not like at all and also combination skin for which this lotion is meant. People with dry or extra dry skin may like it but again the drawback is that it feels only greasy and not moisturizing, when I touch my hands after one hour, my hands feels dehydrated and I feel the need to moisturize them again. One has to frequently keep on re-applying it if you want some moisture in your skin and on top of that you will not like the oily residue it leaves behind. I think this lotion would work good for extra dry skin as it feels oily on my dry skin too but then it’s not that moisturizing that people with extra dry skin can do away with it. The only good thing about it is that it has SPF 20 which is not usually found in body lotions but again it does not have any protection against UVA rays!! It’s almost an average body lotion and don’t do anything great. As far as the improvement in skin tone and complexion claim are concerned, they are not true at all!
Pros of Lotus Herbals Almond Nourish Daily Nourishing Body Lotion SPF 20:
- Affordable.
- Easily available.
- Convenient pump dispenser packaging.
- SPF 20 which is great for protecting against UVB rays.
- Feels moisturizing for few hours.
Cons of Lotus Herbals Almond Nourish Daily Nourishing Body Lotion SPF 20:
- Leaves a greasy film initially on application.
- Takes time in getting absorbed.
- Has to be re-applied often as moisturizing power is not much and it doesn’t moisturize skin for a good amount of time.
- No improvement in skin tone and complexion as claimed by the product.
- Not for summers as you may not like the chip chip feeling in harsh heat.
BML Rating: 2.5/5
I agree with you totally. It is way too greasy for a regular lotion. However, I found out that my mother-in-law loves it.
