Hello Pretty Ladies,
Hope you all are doing great!
I am so excited to share a post with you all on my friend Arzoo’s blog. I really thank her for giving me this chance to write a guest post on her blog. She has got a lovely blog here and despite being so popular and successful in a short span of time, she is a very down to earth and helpful person. I nag her with my stupid queries and she merrily answers them all. She is very helpful. Thanks a lot for being such a sweetheart Arzoo :-* Now coming to the review, today I am reviewing a unique shade of lipstick from the Go Chic range from Faces cosmetics. The shade is Sparkling Wine and it is perfect for winters! These lipsticks are so inexpensive and amazing in quality. So without further ado, let’s move on to the review.
“Where were you all this while?!” – was our customers’ reaction to this winner. Awesome shades, perfect application, light, easy and pocket-friendly – there’s something for everyone here
Price: 199 INR for 4.5g.
Phenyl Timethicone, octyl Palmitate, Capric/Caprylic Triglyceride, White Soft Parrafin, Shea Butter, Hydrogenated Polyisobutane, ozokerite, Performalene PL polymer, Candelilla Wax, camauba Wax, BHA, Prophyl Paraben, Castor Oil, Mica, Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Octyl methoxy Cinnamate, Benzophenone-3, Vit-E-Acetate, Perfume, Colors.
Shelf Life: 3 years.
Packaging: The lipstick comes in a simple black packaging which is not very fancy but very sturdy.
Shade: The shade sparkling wine is a very unique wine color which is perfect for people who love to flaunt dark lips without being OTT. This shade is perfect for winters and to break the color monotony of any outfit. This shade will instantly perk up brighter complexions. It will suit almost all Indian skin tones. Dusky beauties, however, will have to go easy on the application because the shade comes out pretty intense.
Texture and formula: The texture is very smooth and soft. It has a little sheen to it but there is no glitter. Due to the sheen, it gives a nice plumped up look to the lips. The application is very smooth and it is easy to glide due to the buttery texture. The formula is moisturizing and it keeps the lips hydrated if applied over already moisturized lips.
Pigmentation: It is highly pigmented. A single swipe is enough to cover all the pigmentation on the lips. Since it is highly pigmented, it may settle in fine lines in the form of stain if lips are not properly moisturized. So remember to apply a lip balm before application :)
Staying power: The staying power is pretty good. It stays on my lips for 3-4 hours after which it starts fading unevenly and has to be touched up or removed completely if you don’t want the lips to look tacky. It did not survive meals for me but maybe that’s because I tend to pucker my lips a lot and that kills my lipsticks staying power. If you don’t do that unlike me, it will stay on for a good amount of time :D
Smell: It has a little weird sweet smell of which I am not fond of but it fades away after sometime so I am pretty fine with it.
- Price!! These are so inexpensive considering the amazing quality of the lipsticks.
- Staying power is good. It stays on for 3-4 hours.
- Highly pigmented and hence covers pigmented lips very well.
- Gives a subtle sheen which does not look OTT.
- Moisturizes the lips as it contains natural ingredients like Almond Oil, Jojoba Oil, Shea Butter, etc
- There are around 17 gorgeous shades to choose from.
Cons of Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Sparkling Wine:
- The shade may not be a favorite of some because it is a bold/dark color which would usually go well with medium-fair skin tones more. Not a daily wear shade.
Would I recommend Faces Go Chic Lipstick in Sparkling Wine?
Definitely! These come in 17 shades which might catch your attention and these are really a steal for the price.
Would I repurchase this product?
Yes but I will check out the other shades.
My Rating: 4/5
I believe you should pick up at least one of the Go Chic lipsticks because it so light on the pocket and yet high on quality. I am sure you will not be disappointed with these.
Once again, I thank Arzoo for letting me write on her amazing blog. Love ya babe!
